I qualified as a reflexologist in 1995 with the Bayly School of Reflexology. I set up my private practice in a small North Bedfordshire village and also worked at the Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire MS Therapy Centre as a physiotherapy assistant and Reflexologist for over 20 years.

I moved to Dorset in 2018 and I set up Portesham Holistic Therapies. At this time I went on a Professional Clinical Reflexology (PCR) course given by Abbigail Langstone-Wring for cancer patients from diagnosis through treatment and beyond Abbigail asked me to join her at the Dorset County Hospital (DCH) as a Clinical Reflexologist using the skills I have learnt over the years.

We offered Clinical Reflexology 5 days a week to patients undergoing chemotherapy and in the Cancer ward. In 2020 we began offering treatments to patients undergoing Radiotherapy treatment in the Robert White Centre in DCH. The Clinical Reflexology is very successful at helping patients through this difficult time.

*Clinical Reflexology (CR) is firstly defined by qualification - post graduate advanced specialist training and above all experience. Clinical Reflexologists work in a clinical environment, e.g. primary care (GP or clinic practice) secondary care (NHS hospital) hospice (NHS or private).

Clinical Reflexologists undergo specified NHS mandatory training to meet exacting standards in all aspects of patient care. We continually update our knowledge and skills to ensure best practice.

Reflexology is a Complementary Therapy and is suitable for all age groups. It helps to calm the nervous system which in turn will help to relax muscles.Gentle pressure on the feet hands or ears stimulates the corresponding organs and systems of the body that link through neural pathways.
